Broncos vs Patriots game in jeopardy AGAIN after Patriot’s player tests positive for COVID

Well the Broncos game against the Patriots is in doubt to be played this week, AGAIN. It’s been more than two weeks since the Broncos were able to last take the field. Fans were all prepared to watch the Broncos take on the Patriots at home and were blue balled instead. The game got changed from last Sunday (10/11) to Monday (10/12), then it was outright postponed. After some creative shuffling the game was moved to this coming Sunday, but it wouldn’t be a home game like previously scheduled. Instead the Broncos would have to travel to Foxborough. Seems like the Patriots testing positive for COVID worked out in their favor. Now the game that had already been rescheduled twice is in jeopardy of being rescheduled AGAIN.

The Broncos practiced all last week in preparation to play against the Patriots at the regularly scheduled time. The players were pissed that they practiced all week for no game. Now it could be happening all over again. The team has been practicing, Drew Lock is back at practice, a couple other players the Broncos sorely need were practicing too. The game being postponed almost started to look like a good thing for the Broncos too. Things were finally starting to trend in the right direction for Denver. Then the Patriots had to fuck it up.

It’s one positive test from the Patriots as of now, maybe two. So the game could still go on. Unless the league is content with a forfeit from the Patriots, since they are the ones that potentially can’t play, or a week 18 matchup then this game will have to go on. There’s no creative shuffling that will allow this game to be moved again. No more bye weeks the NFL can take away from the Broncos. The Patriots don’t have a bye week either now, but they didn’t practice during theirs. There is no open week for these teams to play in. If this Broncos Patriots game is postponed again it will create a massive problem for scheduling. Not that the NFL wasn’t already in a scheduling problem.
