Colorado Avalanche to host fans at Ball Arena

It’s finally time. After more than a year fans will be allowed to attend a Colorado Avalanche game at Ball Arena. And to be honest with you, I couldn’t be more excited. Ask anyone you know “what’s the first thing you want to do once everything starts opening up?” and everyone has an answer. They want to go to a crowded bar, or a nightclub, or the movies. But for me it’s a Colorado Avalanche hockey game. I want to scream at a player to shoot the puck so damn bad. You know players listen to you if you scream that right? And I want to yell GRUUU every time Phillip Grubauer makes a save. It’s been at the top of my list of things to do since March of 2020. And it can finally happen!

The fans are coming home. The Avalanche (and Nuggets) will be welcoming just over 4,000 fans into the stands starting April 2nd. I’m glad they didn’t decide on April 1st because then this clearly would have been a cruel joke. But it’s not a joke, it’s the real deal. About 20% of the stadium will be filled for games. And going from 0% to 20% is going to feel like a packed house. Ball Arena is going to be rocking with 4,050 fans in attendance. Plus this is the first time fans have been in Ball Arena. So you know the place is going to be jumping.

Although it is the same stadium as the Pepsi Center, but it’s the first time fans will be in attendance since the name change. And fans couldn’t be more excited to finally get back in the stadium. Watching hockey in person will always be the best way to view the sport. Considering a good majority of Avalanche fans can’t watch the games on tv because of Comcast it’s even more true in Colorado. Fans may have a difficult time finding the game on tv but at least some of them will be able to get in the stadium for the ultimate viewing experience.
