Phillip Rivers pulls out and retires from the NFL
The career of Phillip Rivers has come to an end. It’s the first time he’s ever pulled out of anything in his entire life. I guess he did have to pull out of the NFL eventually. But the fact that he didn’t for years gave us this gem of a graphic.
Shocking to see the 38 year old Phillip Rivers has more kids than 23 year old Joe Burrow
What a beauty. Obviously the graphics guy really had some fun with this one. Hilarious and completely pointless to include the children stat. Like no shit the 38 year old quarterback has more kids than the rookie fresh out of college. Clearly Phillip Rivers has him beat on the kids stat, same for most of the NFL.
The only thing better than the jokes about how many kids Phillip Rivers has is his trash talking. As a Broncos fan I absolutely hated it. But the second he went over to the Colts I grew to appreciate his ability to infuriate every opponent he played against without saying a single cuss word. Their won’t be any more dadgum, son of a biscuit, or fricks anymore.

The funniest trash talker in the NFL calls it a career. Phillip Rivers said it was just time to call it quits. And looking at his shot put throwing motion I completely agree. The guy couldn’t throw a deep ball to save his life and his throwing motion was an eye sore. But he’s going to be missed in the NFL. He’s one of the most iconic quarterbacks in the NFL, both for his play and trash talk. Only time will tell whether or not the iconic trash talking and well above average play is enough to get Phillip Rivers in to the Hall of Fame.
Whether or not Phillip Rivers belongs in the Hall of Fame was discussed on this weeks podcast. Go give it a listen at the links below and don’t forget to rate, review, and subscribe. Also tell a friend to listen.
