Todd Gurley, arguably the face of the franchise for the Las Angeles Rams, has been released. By doing so the Rams no longer have to pay him his 10 million dollar contract for the year. The Rams spent the last couple of weeks shopping the running back around to no avail.
Gurley will be free to sign with any team that wants him. Gurley had a monster year in 2018 to the tune of 17 rushing touchdowns. The running back hasn’t been the same since he suffered a knee injury in that same year. Here’s to hoping the electric running back can find a new home and get back into his normal form.
In his career Gurley has rushed for over 1,000 yards in three of his five years in the league. The man knows how to cary the pigskin. There are plenty of teams that could use running back help so don’t expect the ultra talented running back to stay a free agent for long. As of this writing no free agent running backs have been signed. Gurley could be the first domino to fall.
